Former Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin is expected to make a decision on his new team on Monday between the Bills and Ravens.

The word from NFL insider Ian Rapoport is that free agent wide receiver Jeremy Maclin will make his final decision on Monday as to where he will play next, his third NFL team. After taking official visits with the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens, Maclin will make his decision in time to join the team for what’s left of organized team activities.

Both sides have likely already submitted their final bids, so to speak, and Maclin had the full weekend to decide on what was next, nearly 10 days after he was surprisingly released from the Kansas City Chiefs.

Maclin has a big decision to make knowing that both teams have different elements to offer him. The Buffalo Bills have almost twice as much immediate cash than the Ravens with $12.6 million in  cap space (per Over the Cap). The Ravens, unfortunately, only have $6.9 million. At the same time, the Ravens are by far the more competitive club and have realistic notions of competing for the AFC North title and/or a wild card spot. The Bills, on the other hand, have very little reason to ever expect to topple the New England Patriots in the AFC East and even a wild card is a stretch given the presence of the teams in the West, the Steelers and Ravens in the north and a completely improved AFC South.
