The Kansas City Chiefs have a deep pool of talent on both sides of the ball heading into this week. As they prepare to begin organized team activities, they will be looking for players who can make an impact.

One position that may be highly contested is the inside linebacker group. With Derrick Johnson looking to return by training camp, his position next to Ramik Wilson in OTAs will be hotly contested. Wilson himself is the odds-on favorite to start next Johnson come the regular season. However, a number of players will be pushing him to take the next step forward in his development.

As OTAs install schemes and concepts, playmakers stand out to the coaching staff. Can Justin March continue to make an impact in the preseason? Can Ukeme Eligwe compete with his former teammate Terrance Smith? Repetitions in the OTAs may give us a glimpse at what training camp holds in store for the inside linebackers.

Likewise, the wide receiver group has a depth that the team has not seen since Reid and Dorsey took control franchise. 2017 will be the magic 3rd year for #2 receiver Chris Conley. Is he ready to take the next step forward and his development? Who will make up the second-tier behind the top 3 receivers? A number of questions will begin to be answered at OTAs.
