The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed veteran defensive back Tyler Patmon, who was on the Chiefs practice squad just last year.

If you’re a Kansas City Chiefs fan of the highest order, someone who scans the waiver wire and memorizes practice squad players, then you will likely remember Tyler Patmon, a defensive back who caught on with the Chiefs last year on two separate occasions. Now Patmon has found a new home with the Jacksonville Jaguars as he joins a remade and relatively young secondary.

Patmon first signed with the Chiefs last October and joined the practice squad but was let go two weeks later. He was then re-signed but let go once again one day later.

Patmon entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys and earned considerable playing time during his rookie season. He even had his first career interception that year, a 58-yarder he returned for a touchdown. Patmon has played in 24 career games total with the Cowboys as well as the Miami Dolphins. He has 23 career tackles and 5 passes defended.

Last season he also caught on with the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers as bookends around his tenure(s) with the Chiefs.
