Chiefs release DB Julian Wilson
One day after signing veteran De’Vante Bausby on a one-year deal, the Chiefs announced they released fellow cornerback Julian Wilson to make room. Wilson had been with the Chiefs on a reserve/futures contract since January, joining the team after spending his short NFL career thus far with the Baltimore Ravens.
Chiefs sign numerous undrafted free agents
The Chiefs announced several signings after the NFL Draft and the team’s rookie minicamp. The list includes undrafted free agents and veterans alike: Ricky Ali’ifua (DL), Emanuel Byrd (TE), Stanley Jean-Baptiste (CB), Will Monday (P), Devine Redding (RB), Jamari Staples (WR) Corin Brooks (T), Devin Chappell (S), Gehrig Dieter (WR), Anas Hasic (WR), Wyatt Houston (TE), Marcus Kemp (WR), Ashton Lampkin (CB), Damien Mama (G), Alonzo Moore (WR), JR Nelson (CB), Jordan Sterns (S), Tony Stevens (WR), Kelvin Taylor (RB).
Chiefs sign veteran offensive lineman Andrew Tiller
The Chiefs added versatile veteran lineman Andrew Tiller on a one-year deal in free agency to help bolster the competition for back-up offensive linemen as well as offer options at left guard in case second-year player Parker Ehinger somehow isn’t up to the job. Tiller started 14 games on the left and right side for the San Francisco 49ers last year and joins Jah Reid, Zach Fulton, Mike Person and more for the chance to back-up the line.
