2017 NFL free agency: Kansas City Chiefs transaction tracker
By Matt Conner
Chiefs sign free agent Marqueston Huff
Dorsey saw a chance to add some veteran versatility to his secondary and he took it with the addition of Huff on the cheap. Huff broke into the NFL with the Titans as their fourth round pick in 2013, but started only 1 game in two seasons in Tennessee. He’s bounced around practice squads since then, so it’ll be a surprise if he actually makes the final 53-man roster.
Contract: $600K
Chiefs re-sign Jarvis Jenkins
The re-signing of Jenkins keeps a veteran defensive lineman in the rotation who has 48 starts and 75 games under his belt. That sort of experience should help him fend off rookie competition for a fringe roster spot in the defensive rotation. It’s clear the Chiefs liked what they saw from his mid-season audition after joining the team last November.
