Villanova head football coach Mark Ferrante discusses Tanoh Kpassagnon’s potential and draft weekend.

One year ago, the Kansas City Chiefs selected a project of a defensive lineman in the second round. Chris ebnes was a late bloomer in college, who only demonstrated the production to match the potential during his final year at Mississippi State. Fast forward 12 months and it’s clear Chiefs general manager John Dorsey has the foresight to take a player who looks like the league’s next elite lineman.

This year, Dorsey did the same, taking a flyer on another raw defensive lineman in the hopes of finding the next great disruptor. Tanoh Kpassagnon is a beast of a man, a fast and dynamic player with very impressive length and strength. Given his home at Villanova, Kpassagnon will need more development than Jones, but the expectation is the same, another strong young player along the Chiefs defensive front.

We recently sat down with Villanova’s head coach Mark Ferrante to talk about his star defensive end and find out more about his potential, his weaknesses and why he has good reason to believe Tanoh’s best years are ahead of him.
