It seems as if everyone on the Denver Broncos is very excited about the addition of former Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles.

The sound you hear in Kansas City is the weeping and gnashing of teeth over the loss of Jamaal Charles to the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs hated rival. However, the cheers you hear are the responses of several Broncos players who took to Twitter to express their excitement over the team’s new one-year deal with the Chiefs all-time rusher.

The Chiefs cut Jamaal Charles earlier this offseason since his cap hit was going to be around $7 million. Instead of restructuring, the Chiefs decided to ultimately part ways permanently, sending him off with official statements about his legacy from owner Clark Hunt. Since he’s hit free agency, Charles has only garnered interest from a single team, a free agent visit to the Seattle Seahawks that failed to lead to any signing.

After the NFL Draft however, the Denver Broncos were quick to strike. Charles came in for a quick visit and signed a one-year deal with Denver. The ensuing response from Broncos players shows just how respected he is around the NFL.
