The Kansas City Chiefs have two selections heading into day two of the NFL Draft, their original second round pick and a compensatory third.

The Kansas City Chiefs traded away a couple future picks to move up in the 2017 NFL Draft’s first round to No. 10 overall to take quarterback Patrick Mahomes, but they still have eight picks overall for the next two days, including two for Day 2, which begins on Friday night. They have their original second round pick and a compensatory pick that comes after the end of the third round. The specifics on Day 2 picks:

Round 2, Pick 27 (59)
Round 3, Pick 40 (104) (Comp. selection)

As for the rest of the draft, general manager John Dorsey has another 6 picks on Day 3, which gives him plenty of ammunition with which to move up in the draft. Given that the Chiefs may not have room for so many rookies, don’t be surprised to see Dorsey be aggressive again at some point in the second or third rounds to find the best value on their draft board. To do so, Dorsey will have the following picks to trade away (or use on Day 3).

Round 4, Pick 26 (132)
Round 5, Pick 27 (170)
Round 5, Pick 37 (180) (Comp. selection)
Round 6, Pick 33 (216) (Comp. selection)
Round 6, Pick 35 (218) (Comp. selection)
Round 7, Pick 27 (245)

The Chiefs traded away their original third round choice to the Buffalo Bills along with their first round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and the No. 27 pick overall to grab Mahomes.
