Kansas City Chiefs considered longshots by Vegas to sign Adrian Peterson

The latest odds are out concerning where Adrian Peterson could land and the Kansas City Chiefs are considered longshots.
For anyone who might be hoping for the Kansas City Chiefs to sign Adrian Peterson, Las Vegas oddsmakers are willing to take your money. The release of the latest odds to sign him show that the Chiefs are nowhere near the favorites to land him, even though they’re oddly singled out away from the rest of the field.
Perhaps the release of Jamaal Charles, another veteran coming off of an injury, signals to Vegas that the Chiefs aren’t going to want to sign another player in the same category to replace Charles. That’s a good bet (pun intended). The reality is that it’s even silly to consider the Chiefs as a destination for Peterson despite the need for help at running back.
For the Chiefs, they’re likely to help find someone to partner with incumbent starter Spencer Ware in the upcoming draft. With 10 draft picks, the Chiefs might actually add two players to the mix after releasing Charles and losing free agent Knile Davis to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Chiefs could use a dynamic playmaker to sit atop the depth chart, but someone who can also offer help in the return game would be nice since the team wants to increase Tyreek Hill’s reps on offense and the loss of Davis. Perhaps De’Anthony Thomas could be that player, but his presence is enigmatic at this point. It’s hard to tell what exactly the team will do with Thomas long-term.
As for Peterson, Vegas believes the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints are the most likely bets. Here are the complete odds from Bookmaker.
