As Chiefs Trade Idea Week rolls on, we’ve got an idea swapping draft picks that could net a nice future haul for Kansas City.

As we continue to celebrate Chiefs Trade Idea Week, today’s entry takes us into the heart of the draft and asks an important question: what if all of the best quarterbacks are gone when the Chiefs pick?

If the right quarterback is not on the board for the Kansas City Chiefs on when the 2017 NFL Draft opens on Thursday night, a trade option/scenario could possibly play itself out. In this scenario, I have the Chiefs making a trade with the New York Jets. Lets take a look to see how it would look.

New York Jets receive: 1st round pick (No. 27), 5th round (No. 180)
Kansas City Chiefs receive: 3rd round pick (No. 107),  5th round (No. 150), 2018 1st round, 2018 fourth round

Basically, the Jets would essentially buy the Chiefs first round pick this season for the final pick in this year’s third round (No. 107 overall) as well as two picks next season in the 2018 NFL Draft, including their first round pick.
