California quarterback Davis Webb is the latest heralded quarterback to visit the Kansas City Chiefs before the 2017 NFL Draft.
Davis Webb is the latest NFL quarterback hopeful to visit the Kansas City Chiefs as the team continues to do its due diligence with every possible franchise QB candidate before the 2017 NFL Draft.
Webb, a University of California product, played for Texas Tech for his first three seasons before transferring as a graduate to UC-Berkeley this last year, He put up 37 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for Cal in 2016, completing 61.6 percent of his passes.
Webb is the latest of a long list of quarterbacks to visit the Chiefs before the draft, a list that includes DeShone Kizer, Mitchell Trubisky, Deshaun Watson, Patrick Mahomes, Nathan Peterman and more. The Chiefs have basically interviewed every player formally at pro days and the NFL Combine while also hosting them at Arrowhead for further conversation.
Sitting at No. 27 overall, it will be interesting to see who the Chiefs ultimately liked the most from this bunch and what bearing it has on their draft strategy—including whether or not they’ll choose to trade up from their current spot in the first round.
