Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster went back to Indianapolis for a medical check-up and received a clean bill of health on his shoulder.
Reuben Foster’s first visit to Indianapolis did not go as planned. The talented Alabama linebacker was reportedly very tired of waiting for his medical check the first time during the NFL Combine and got into a heated argument. He was summarily dismissed from the Combine before teams were able to get a proper update on his shoulder injury. The good news is that this is the week for prospects to have official medical check-ups on various injuries, including Michigan tight end Jake Butt and Washington WR John Ross.
Foster was the heart of the Crimson Tide’s defense this last season and is assumed by NFL analysts to be the top linebacker in this year’s draft class. Foster is often considered a lock for the first round and a potential top 10 pick. However, the Combine incident could knock him back a bit along with shoulder concerns, but this medical opinion should ease those fears.
Foster has visited with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in recent weeks, although it would be a surprise to most if Foster fell all the way to No. 27 overall, where the Chiefs pick in the first round.
Foster had 115 tackles last year for Alabama, including 5 sacks and 13 for a loss.
