The New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders are the favorites per Las Vegas oddsmakers to be the team who trades for Richard Sherman.
Richard Sherman is a household name at this point as even casual football fans know who the talented Seattle Seahawks cornerback is. The idea of the Seahawks trading Sherman seems silly, but in recent days, that rumors has slowly solidified into a reality that the cornerback is on the official trading block. Now, Las Vegas oddsmakers say the New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders are the teams most favored to land Sherman in a trade.
Scott Cooley of Bookmaker has the current odds listed as such:
"New Orleans Saints +300Oakland Raiders +400Atlanta Falcons +500Dallas Cowboys +550Tennessee Titans +600Seattle Seahawks +800Jacksonville Jaguars +1200Green Bay Packers +1600New England Patriots +3000Field +350"

The Saints make plenty of sense for multiple reasons, given their need for a shutdown corner, their willingness to make trades (including the Jimmy Graham trade with Seattle already) and their longing to trade for a cornerback already known as in Malcolm Butler. Sherman’s presence on the trade market has to fluff the feathers of Bill Belichick, who now has competition for the Saints’ draft assets in play for a veteran corner.
The Raiders already have a nice young defense that’s getting better each year, but adding Sherman to the mix would accelerate that process and likely make them the team to beat in the AFC West, despite the fact they lost twice last year to the Kansas City Chiefs. Sherman and David Amerson and Sean Smith would be a nice cornerback trio in addition to their strong safety play they already enjoy.
The Cowboys have lost plenty of players in the secondary this offseason and the Atlanta Falcons could use some veteran help there as well, so those teams also make sense. As for the Chiefs, the move doesn’t make sense financially although the idea of putting Sherman in tandem with Marcus Peters would be a dream scenario for Bob Sutton.
