49ers sign former Chiefs practice squad LB Jayson DiManche
By Matt Conner
The San Francisco 49ers have signed journeyman linebacker Jayson DiManche, who spent time with the Chiefs in 2015.
Jayson DiManche continues to beat the odds and further his career as a former undrafted free agent with a newly signed one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. The former Southern Illinois linebacker has floated around the NFL since he first signed with the Cincinnati Bengals after the 2013 NFL Draft.
DiManche spent exactly one week with the Kansas City Chiefs, signing with them in October 13, 2015 and landing on the practice squad. One week later, the Cleveland Browns signed him away.
DiManche has spent time with the Chiefs, Browns, Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals on two separate stints in his NFL career. Now he joins the 49ers in hopes of making the final roster for a team with many needs on both sides of the football.
DiManche has appeared in 29 games in his NFL career, 28 of them with the Bengals. The linebacker has 29 career tackles to his name.
