Colin Kaepernick is not only polarizing on the larger level of the NFL, but even the thought of adding him for the Chiefs brings out mixed emotions in fans.

On Wednesday, Manish Mehta, a writer for the New York Daily News, floated the idea that the Kansas City Chiefs were the “perfect team” to handle the sort of firestorm that would come with signing Colin Kaepernick. Given that we’re all Addicts about all things Arrowhead, we reached out on Twitter to ask fans what they would think. The results were as polarizing as you might expect.

Kaepernick made waves in NFL circles this last year by refusing to stand during the national anthem, drawing attention to the ongoing oppression of African-Americans, police brutality and other such ideas. Instead of viewing them as actions of reasonable protest, however, many fans took serious offense to Kaepernick’s actions. Even now, it’s easy to see in the Chiefs fan base how some fans are just fine with Kaepernick and why others are ready to jump ship if the Chiefs even thought about it.

Check out some fans who would rather the Chiefs do pretty much anything else than bring Kaepernick into the mix.

Then there are some Chiefs fans who not only seem just fine with the idea but that it would even be a good thing for the team.
