Jets rumors: Former Chiefs TE Brian Parker signs with New York
By Matt Conner
A familiar face in tight end Brian Parker has landed with the New York Jets, once again.
Former Kansas City Chiefs tight end Brian Parker has found a new, yet familiar, home with the New York Jets. The 24-year-old spent spent just a few days with the Jets last season after they claimed him from waivers from Kansas City but couldn’t keep him after he failed his physical. Now he’s back again for hopefully what becomes a much longer stretch.
Parker entered the NFL with the San Diego Chargers after going undrafted in 2015. His only NFL experience came with the Chiefs in 2015. He played in 9 games with the Chiefs that season and has a single catch on 2 targets to his name.
Parker now joins a Jets team that also had Braedon Bowman, Austin Sefarian-Jenkins and Eric Tomlinson among the tight ends on the roster.
Parker played college football at the University of Albany, where he had 39 receptions for 500 yards and 5 touchdowns his final season.
