The Chicago Bears are adding safety help in the form of former Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Quintin Demps.

Quintin Demps is rumored to be joining the Chicago Bears as the team seeks to round out its defensive backfield with more playmakers.

Demps will be joining his fifth different NFL franchise when he starts with the Chicago Bears. He entered the league with the Philadelphia Eagles and then jumped to the Houston Texans. He actually had two stints with the Texans, including the last two seasons, around which he also played for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013 and the New York Giants the following season.

Demps has always had a nose for the football and displayed that in limited action in Kansas City, with four interceptions in only six starts for the Chiefs. Last season for the Texans he had 6 interceptions, a career high, but he has 18 interceptions in his career. His playmaking ability should be a boost for a Bears secondary that has struggled to generate turnovers.

Demps, who will be 32 next season, started 13 games for Houston last season and had 9 passes deflected.
