The Kansas City Chiefs have a strong connection (and rumored interest) in Temple linebacker and NFL hopeful Haason Reddick.

The Kansas City Chiefs are interviewing dozens of prospects this weekend at the 2017 NFL Combine, as part of the pre-draft process where general manager John Dorsey will have 10 picks at his disposal. One of the places where he’s likely to address the roster is linebacker, where Josh Mauga is a free agent and Derrick Johnson is returning from injury.

Haason Reddick is an NFL hopeful, a linebacker prospect from Temple who put up impressive numbers for the Owls but faces questions about his level of competition. Fortunately, the Chiefs have some inside perspective when it comes to Reddick’s talent level and potential.

Britt Reid is, indeed, the son of Andy Reid, the Chiefs head coach. It will be interesting to see what sort of sway a positional coach, even a coach’s son, might have on the draft process, but if Dorsey likes what he hears and sees similar things on tape, it’s safe to say that Reddick could be very much on their radar.

Reddick had 65 total tackles last season, including an incredible 22.5 for a loss, 9.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and an interception. Lance Zierlein’s draft profile compares Reddick to Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier.
