The NFL Combine is well underway and the official measurables are coming out for all quarterback. Here’s how players like DeShone Kizer are weighing in.

The Kansas City Chiefs are likely paying very close attention at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis on Thursday. The quarterbacks are here and getting weighed in, and given the Chiefs need for a long-term prospect at the position and their draft flexibility, it wouldn’t be surprising to see general manager John Dorsey make a move for some signal caller.

Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer weighed in at just over 6’4 and 233 pounds. Miami Hurricanes quarterback Brad Kaaya came in slightly shorter at nearly 6’4 and 214 pounds.
Both men have the stature that coaches like to see, although Kaaya is a bit slight.

Deshaun Watson, who comes in with the greatest amount of championship experience as a starting quarterback, weighed in at 6’2 and 221 pounds, which should help boost his draft stock a bit for any scouts concerned with size. Another player overcoming some concerns is Mitch Trubisky who clocked in at just over 6’2 and 222 pounds, which will help scouts who were harping on him being too short for the pro level.

Patrick Mahomes rounds out the big quarterbacks in the draft with a solid 6’2 and 225 pounds.

Basically every quarterback destined for the early rounds has the size to play at the pro level. The rest of the day will help tell the story in other areas.
