Round Four: Jalen Robinette, WR, Air Force

After focusing so much on defense in the first several picks, Jalen Robinette in the fourth round adds another solid option in Andy Reid’s offense who could potentially reach much higher, depending on how he adjusts at the pro level. At 6’3, 220 lbs., Robinette has the obvious size needed to play at the pro level, and with three years starting experience for Air Force, there’s a lot to like about Robinette’s production (27.4 yards per catch during his senior season).

That said, the Falcons offense was far from pro ready and the level of competition in the Mountain West is suspect as well. Robinette also failed to separate himself from other pro hopefuls with a poor showing at the Senior Bowl, where he came away with poor reviews during practice () and did not catch a single pass during the actual game.

The talent and production are there, however, which means that Andy Reid has something to work with, adding him to the bottom of a depth chart where he can compete with Albert Wilson, Demarcus Robinson and De’Anthony Thomas for spots behind Jeremy Maclin, Tyreek Hill and Chris Conley.
