Chiefs injuries on the mend
Kansas City escaped the Atlanta game with no new injuries and another impressive win to notch to their belt. Thursday will be a matchup of epic proportions for both teams. The Raiders risk falling a spot behind KC in the standings because of the Chiefs two wins over Oakland if they take care of business on Thursday night. The Raiders will still travel to Oakland and San Diego throughout the remainder of their schedule and only have a home game left with the Colts.

The Chiefs look to get back wide receiver Jeremy Maclin this week from his groin injury. Adam Schefter reported early yesterday afternoon that KC is optimistic he will be able to play on Thursday against Oakland. In his absence, Travis Kelce has stepped up and has three 100 yard receiving games in a row so it will be a nice addition to bring Maclin back into the fold. With Maclin playing in the Chiefs offense it should help everyone be more productive as it will open up other parts of the field.
Primetime is the right time
Kansas City has a short week but they know what is on the line on Thursday night. They showed right after the game that their attention has already shifted to the Raiders game and that’s the mentality they must have. Kansas City heads into this game with the ability to control their own destiny. If they win out they have a shot at the # 1 seed, but if they lose this game the chances of catching Oakland change dramatically.
