Andy Reid tried to take full responsibility for the Chiefs loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.

The team leaders on the Chiefs, however, feel they are to blame as well. While I appreciate Reid sticking up for his team, the team is right to take at least partial responsibility for the game. With a team like the Chiefs that have the leadership they do I would expect nothing less. They have to play better across the board though and they have to figure it out quickly because they aren’t going on a 10+ game winning streak this season.

The Chiefs have big news coming in the coming week and a half as Justin Houston should see a specialist during this week. Getting news on when Houston will return could be a major boon to the Kansas City defense. Houston’s ability to get after the passer is a known commodity for Chiefs fans. Where he really sticks out is in his ability to stop the run. Being able to stay strong at the point of attack and keep the runners inside is a huge ability that will greatly benefit the entire Chiefs team when he is healthy again.

Reid’s Record

Andy Reid is 15-2 coming off a bye week in his coaching career. That bodes well for the game coming up against the Raiders. Kansas City should be fresh and be healthy headed into that game. They will have just about every player at their disposal and will be facing a Raiders team that will have a winning record. Winning against the Raiders has never been more necessary than the game coming up on October 16th.
