Pros

Continuity: The Chiefs don’t have a single person on their offensive line who has started a full season at their current position for this team. Fisher, center Mitch Morse, and guard Larry Tardif (if he wins the starting right guard spot) have all been held out at some point in time due to injury.

Right tackle Mitchell Schwartz is brand new to the offense.  And the current front runner for the left guard spot, Parker Ehinger, is a rookie.  This is an issue that is indicative of the problem the Chiefs front office has had when it comes to establishing a reliable offensive line.

It’s been a revolving door of players, many of them very talented, who have come and gone.  Those who have managed to hang around for any amount of time have either dealt with injury, or been disappointing in their performance.  If Fisher is re-signed, he will be just the second offensive lineman that GM John Dorsey has been able to sign to a second contract, with current backup lineman Jah Reid having been the first earlier this offseason.  Continuity is something that this position group is sorely in need of.
