Draft Picks: The 2016 NFL Draft class is down to just 12 players who have yet to sign their contracts.  Five of them are 1st round picks though, including San Diego’s Joey Bosa.

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals and defensive back Tyrann Mathieu have apparently broken off contract talks at this time.  There is still some hope that a deal gets done this summer, but the two sides apparently have not made much progress.

Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens have released left tackle Eugene Monroe after they were unable to complete a trade that would send him to one of several teams interested.  Running back Trent Richardson has hit his first snag of the season as he is headed for a knee surgery.

Also missing from camp is pass rusher Elvis Dumervil who is out after having surgery for an undisclosed injury, though he is expected back for Training Camp.  On a less optimistic front, it appears that Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman may have his debut even further delayed.  After missing all of his rookie season last year, Perriman suffered another setback with a partially torn ACL this week.

He’ll have surgery after getting a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews, and the team is optimistic.  But @ProFootballDoc (former Chargers team doctor, Dr David Chao) says it’s likely not good…

Carolina Panthers: Star defensive tackle Kawann Short is currently holding out of offseason activities as he continues to pursue a new contract, likely seeking one similar to that received by Fletcher Cox.  But Panther’s GM Dave Gettleman isn’t intimidated, though Head Coach Ron Rivera is taking a pretty realistic outlook on the whole thing.
