1. Tony Gonzalez

The former University of California basketball player is an obvious and unanimous choice here at No. 1 for the best tight end in Kansas City Chiefs history. Tony G’s marvelous career was full of record-setting numbers, many TD catches that were later dunked through the uprights, and cementing himself as one of the all-time greats at his position. Gonzalez’s 76 career receiving touchdowns are easily first all-time in franchise history and his 10,940 career receiving yards for the club rank him first all-time by a rather wide margin as well.

In his 12 years with the team, Gonzo went to an incredible 10 Pro Bowls, earning 1st-team All-Pro honors for five of those seasons. With all that being said, his greatness didn’t stop there. Gonzalez will not only go down as the best receiving tight end that the Chiefs have ever had, but also one of the best blocking TEs as well. The California native will likely be a first ballot hall-of-famer when he first becomes eligible in 2019.
