It’s also worth noting that the Chiefs do not currently possess a clear cut No. 2 wide receiver on their current roster behind Maclin. This is because third-year man Albert Wilson still hasn’t totally locked that spot down after his performance last season which saw him rack up just 451 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the entire campaign for KC.

However, the Huber Heights, Ohio product hasn’t been at his current position for very long. The one-time signal-caller of the Buckeyes decided to switch spots from quarterback to wide receiver before his senior season in Columbus. Although he did show flashes of greatness in his one year as a receiver for Ohio State, he wasn’t able to eclipse the 100-yard receiving mark in any of the 13 games that he played.

This is somewhat of a problem when you start to project how he might fair at the next level as far as receiving yards are concerned. Additionally, there is also still a real concern about Miller being somewhat raw with the receiver position, since he only played it for one year in college.

Due to this, he hasn’t had as much experience in key areas including route running than many of the other wide receiver prospects in this year’s class. This alone could turn off Dorsey and Chiefs from ever wanting to draft a player like Miller, but he can always get better with his routes with more reps and time as well.

Miller is currently projected to go in either the second or third round according to a number of different draft projections out there. If this reigns true, it could be more of an issue for the Chiefs than other teams since they are without their third round pick in this year’s draft due to violating the NFL’s anti-tampering policy with then-free agent Jeremy Maclin back in 2015.

If Miller somehow slips into the middle rounds, such as the fourth or fifth round, they really should consider taking a flyer on him. That being said, I don’t feel that they should take him with their second round pick. Also, without a third round pick for KC this year, it’s very possible that Miller could be off the board by the time their fourth round pick comes anyway.

What do you think the Chiefs should do here, Addicts? Is Miller a good fit for this team?
