The Chiefs three-man defensive line of newly-signed Jaye Howard, underrated Allen Bailey and absolute beast Dontari Poe is one of the best in the league. It is a huge strength of this Chiefs side. It allows Bob Sutton to consistently run two man fronts and sub packages without having to sacrifice yards to the run game because of these three.

I am a believer that the game is won in the trenches, and while the starting trio are some of the best in the league, depth is needed. This is where Mike DeVito comes in. If he can be brought back on a team friendly deal, then it is an absolute no-brainer that the Chiefs should res-sign him. While the draft is strong and deep in defensive linemen, it seems nonsensical to not bring back DeVito, a player who knows the team, the players and the scheme, and would be available relatively cheaply.

DeVito is under no illusions. He would not be coming back to start every match. He is there for depth, much needed depth, at it seems like an absolute slam dunk of a re-signing for John Dorsey.

So, what do you think, Addicts? Would you like to see Devito back with the team, or would be more inclined to let the defensive lineman walk? Let me know in the comments, thanks for reading, and as always… GO CHIEFS!!!
