DeMarcus Robinson – WR – Florida

Strengths: An athletic player with a lot of athletic talent, Robinson possesses an ideal build for a catch and run WR in a West Coast Offense.  Soft hands and long arms to pluck the ball at multiple angles.  Sharp in his cuts and smooth in his acceleration, which lends itself well to creating separation before and after the catch.  Top end speed that makes him dangerous at all three levels.

Weaknesses: Plain and simple, Robinson’s character is the only reason why he isn’t an early 2nd round or even 1st round prospect right now.  There are some technique and follow through concerns, but all appear to be very coachable…as long as the player is open to being coached.

The Fit: He’s a boom or bust pick, but with a lot to prove after being drafted late, there’s a good chance he’ll give it his all in order to get the pay day he’s believed he should get for the past several years.  In terms of pure talent, he belongs at the top of this class.  The Chiefs could get a real steal here with a player whose progress will be easy to monitor as he matches up with the young WR corps in KC.  However, he is also the player that I believe is most likely to make a big jump in the next few weeks.
