With the Cincinnati Bengals deciding to self-destruct in the final minutes against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Kansas City Chiefs found out they will play the New England Patriots in the AFC Divisional playoffs.

New England (12-4) is the second seed in the AFC and the defending Super Bowl champions, but it not playing well in recent weeks. The Patriots began the season with a 10-0 mark but then fell apart down the stretch, losing four of their last six including brutal affairs to the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins.

Kansas City comes into the game red-hot and with the knowledge that it can beat the Patriots. Last year, the Chiefs destroyed New England 41-14 on a Monday night in front of the nation. Of course, this is a different game and this contest will be in Foxborough, but it stands to reason that Kansas City will have confidence.

New England has been beaten in recent years at Gillette in playoff games. The Baltimore Ravens have turned the trick a few times under head coach John Harbaugh, using a stifling defense and a run-first attack on offense. The New York Jets used the same formula back in 2011 to get the job done. Look for the Chiefs to try the same card.
