AFC Wild Card Week 15 Review

We officially have a three-team race in the AFC wildcard. With Buffalo and Oakland being eliminated this week, the two playoff spots are between the New York Jets, the Steelers, and the Chiefs. The Steelers just keep winning. It was impressive how they were able to push through a 17-point deficit to get the win against Denver. It was even more impressive how they were able to step up their pass rush and shut down the Broncos in the second half.

The Jets managed to escape Dallas with a win despite allowing 100 yards rushing to Darren McFadden and only rushing for 75 yards as a team. Frankly, if the Cowboys had any shred of a quarterback at all then the Jets would virtually be out of this race. Ryan Fitzpatrick has continued his stellar play but he was unable to finish drives like he usually does. The Jets went 4-8 scoring on drives that ended in Dallas territory.

AFC Wild Card Standings

Kansas City (9-5)

Pittsburgh (9-5)

New York Jets (9-5)
