The Kansas City Chiefs would have to lose out in order to have a losing season. Can you believe that?

Six games into this season, it would have seemed like a miracle to be able to say the Chiefs had a chance at a winning record if they won out with four games to go. But my-oh-my how things have changed recently.

During those five straight losses, I managed to try and find a nice face and a positive outlook for K.C. That loss against the Broncos? Hey, they almost won even with all those crazy turnovers. The embarrassment against the Packers? It was a Monday night game against Rodgers in Lambeau. That was always destined to be one of the hardest games on the schedule. The field-goals-only game against the Bengals? Not good, but we all knew that a 1-3 start was possible with all those road games against good teams.

It started getting hard from there. Next came the Bears game. Finally back at Arrowhead. An opponent that was struggling, with a defense that was tied for dead last in the league (with Kansas City) for points allowed. If there was a game to get back in the win column, this was it.
