Kansas City Chiefs: Enigmatic quarterback Tyler Bray has finally returned to the practice field.  Bray has spent the season on the Non Football Injury List.  In the preseason, he was given a two year extension that had a lot of fans and pundits wondering just what the Chiefs feel or think they might have in him.

New England Patriots: The Patriots continue to lose receivers left and right.  This time Danny Amendola with a knee injury and Aaron Dobson with an ankle injury.  Amendola is not expected to be out long, but the situation is unclear for Dobson.

New Orleans Saints:  The Saints have lost cornerback Keenan Lewis for the remainder of the year with a sports hernia.  This means one of the worst defenses ever has just gotten even more pitiful.

New York Jets:  The Jets will be without star cornerback Darrelle Revis this week, due to a concussion.  A lot of the Jets defensive success has been based on the ability of Revis to shut down his half of the field in coverage.

San Diego Chargers: Wide receiver Malcom Floyd appears intent on playing this year.  Floyd is trying to work through a torn labrum in his shoulder.  The veteran stated earlier this month that he still intends for this to be his last year in the NFL, which would at least partially explain why he is willing to risk further injury right now.

Chiefs’ take

: The Chiefs have one more matchup with the Chargers this year, and it will be interesting to see if Floyd can be a quality outside target for Phillip Rivers even with a bad shoulder.

Colin Kaepernick benched for Blaine Gabbert….

San Francisco 49ers: It appears as though Colin Kaepernick is on his way out of San Francisco.  The 49ers stuck Kaepernick on injured reserve for what is being called a severely torn labrum.  However, this move came a full week after he had actually been benched in favor of Blaine Gabbert.

It seems extremely unlikely that the team doctors simply missed a “severely torn labrum”, and that this is simply an attempt to recoup some money from Kaepernick and try to maintain at least some of his trade value.

  • Chiefs’ take: The 49ers are almost assured to be taking a quarterback early in the 2016 draft.  However, Kaepernick may end up on another team that could be in the market.  The Eagles are the popular choice for a landing spot.  If that happens, the Chiefs could see one less competitor for a quarterback in 2016.

Seattle Seahawks: The Seattle running game suffered a big blow as Marshawn Lynch is likely out for at least a month with a sports hernia.  The Seahwaks do not plan on placing him on injured reserve, but this will certainly have a big effect on their playoff hopes.

More from Arrowhead Addict

St Louis Rams: Wide receiver Stedman Bailey is recovering in a hospital after being shot multiple times, including in the head.  Bailey and several friends and family members were attacked while sitting in their car.  Bailey and one other passenger were injured.  Details surrounding the shooting itself have been slow to come out as police conduct their investigation.  On the field, the Rams are taking a ton of criticism for their handling of quarterback Case Keenum who was left in the game with a concussion last Sunday.  Keenum was seen by a trainer, but not pulled or even put through the concussion protocol.

  • Author’s note: I did strongly consider making the Stedman Bailey story the lead this week.  However, due to the lack of overall information currently available, I decided to hold off for now.  This is a big story and will take some time to develop and I don’t want to give a flawed take on it because I don’t have enough facts.

Washington Redskins:  Apparently we have discovered who thought the #AskJerryJones move was a great idea.  The Redskins, always quick to one-up someone in the stupidity department, made sure to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving via Twitter.  Because nobody could predict how that was going to end?  C’mon…no, I won’t even give them that.

Well, that’ll do it for me, Addicts.  Be sure to check in again next week for another round up of NFL news and rumors.
