Eric Berry made an absurd tackle on Sunday (Video)

The Kansas City Chiefs won on Sunday afternoon at Qualcomm Stadium over the San Diego Chargers, rolling to a 33-3 victory. It was a comical outing by San Diego, and the Chiefs were able to take full advantage.

One of the best performers was Eric Berry, who overcame cancer during the offseason to rejoin his team and become a dominant force once more. In the third quarter against the Chargers, Berry might have made the best play of his illustrious career.

It was something that even head coach Andy Reid brought up in his press conference on Monday.

Berry finished with the game with a season-high eight tackles, giving him 41 on the season. Berry is averaging four tackles per game, and that pace would put him at 64 for the season, an incredible feat considering all he has gone through. Berry also has two interceptions and over the past month, has arguably been the best player on the team.

Sometimes, there is more to the player than mere numbers, and Berry is the perfect example of that. The 26-year-old has been not only an inspiration but the consistent eraser of mistakes, cleaning up problems on the back end before they come to light. To watch Berry on film is to understand how brilliant he is at realizing concepts and schemes within an instant.
