3. Cardale Jones – Ohio State

Without question, Jones is going to divide plenty of experts on what he can be at the next level. Jones was a third-string quarterback going into last season for the Buckeyes, and then had his unlikely rise to prominence. To Jones’ credit, he replaced the injured J.T. Barrett and Braxton Miller, and went on to beat the Wisconsin Badgers in the Big Ten title game, and the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Oregon Ducks in the college football playoff. This year, there has been plenty of talk that Jones should be benched in favor of Barrett due to his erratic play.

Checking in at 6-foor-5 and 250 pounds, Jones is a massive man. He also has good mobility and pocket presence. Yet, Jones has seven touchdowns against five interceptions, some of which were brutal throws. Jones has completed more than 62 percent of his throws for 1,242 yards, albeit against bad competition.

Round projection: 2-3
