The Kansas City Chiefs look to remain undefeated when they play the hated division-rival Denver Broncos on Thursday night. And my response is, FINALLY! I have been waiting for this game, and feel it could serve as a tone-setter for the rest of the season.
It is only the second game, but there is a lot on the line.
Here are five things to watch for in the game:

1. Seizing an Early Edge
If the Chiefs win, they will take the early lead in the AFC West.
The Oakland Raiders have already lost, so if Kansas City takes Thursday night’s game, only they and the San Diego Chargers will be undefeated. And regardless of whether the Bolts win against the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend (a road game where they could certainly fall), the division will still belong to K.C. due to owning the only divisional win.
Leading your division after Week 2 is not nearly as significant as leading your division after Week 12, but it is still an excellent start. And with the gauntlet that the Chiefs are forced to run in the early part of the season, any advantage is a blessing.
