We are less than 100 minutes from kickoff between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans, and the day is already filled with all sorts of nonsense. Adam Teicher of ESPN is reporting that the field at NRG Stadium is a complete mess, and he has the pictures to back it up.
The Chiefs aren't happy with the condition of the field here in Houston. This is one seam... http://t.co/y9Vr8y0VGr pic.twitter.com/Zh7LWVqAfj

This is an embarrassment for the field staff in Houston. This is a field that is under a dome during bad weather and is situated in Texas. How does the field look like that?
Apparently, NRG Stadium has tracks of sod brought in to be laid down for Texans games, somewhat explaining why the playing field is in such bad shape. The seams in the sod remind me of the deplorable Veterans Stadium, which actually saw a game get cancelled once because of the field conditions.
