Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers have placed center Maurkice Pouncey on Injured Reserve With Designation to Return. That means they will be without their best offensive lineman until at least week nine.
San Francisco 49ers: The 49ers may have received the best piece of personnel news they got all offseason. Ahmad Brooks has been cleared to remain active on their roster by the NFL. Brooks is facing sexual abuse charges related to an incident regarding former teammate Ray McDonald. However, the NFL has kept to its position that it allows the legal process to play out prior to taking actions, except in extreme circumstances.
Seattle Seahawks: The holdout of Kam Chancellor is about to officially carry into the regular season. The Seahawks are prepared to start Dion Bailey in the place of Chancellor. The holdout is very curious when you consider that Chancellor is among the top paid safeties in football, and the highest paid strong safety. Plus, he is only in the second year of his new deal that put him in that spot.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Bucs have moved on from disappointing defensive lineman Da’Quan Bowers. At one point, Bowers was considered the top prospect of his draft class, but has not lived up to that hype at all. It is rumored that the Panthers are kicking the tires on him.
Tennessee Titans: The Titans have cut wide receiver Hakeem Nicks. Nicks has not been the same player he was with the Giants, and it has to be wondered whether or not his career is over. It is rumored that the Saints have interest.
Washington Redskins: Something, something, RGIII.
