Defensive End

1. Karl Klug (Titans)

We’re closing today’s list up with a single candidate at defensive end — Titans’ DE Karl Klug. The Chiefs are just three months removed from offering Allen Bailey a generous four-year extension. Most of the marquee names in free agency at this position are simply not in cap range for the Chiefs. It appears Kansas City has its book ends for at least the 2015 season (Jaye Howard and Allen Bailey). DeVito’s cap savings is likely more valuable to the team than his soon-to-be 31-year old body. Klug stands out as one of the more attractive inexpensive options at defensive end. He earned a +1.9 grade from Pro Football Focus in 2014 and would be a rock solid addition to the Chiefs’ defensive line rotation.

Have you any objections to the defensive players on today’s list? Are there players better suited to Bob Sutton’s scheme? Will there be more affordable options available than those cited in today’s column? Use the comment section below to weigh in on the subject. As always, we appreciate your readership and support.

Until next time, Addicts!
