With the completion of the Super Bowl and thus the 2014 season, the focus around the NFL turns to individual teams focusing on re-signing the own free agents, choosing who they need to part ways with, and beginning the process of identifying potential free agents who may help their team in 2015.
The Kansas City Chiefs are in a position where they could go in whatever direction they wish when it comes to either investing to free agency or shopping from the bargain bin. Dwayne Bowe, Tamba Hali, and several other players are potentially on the chopping block, which would open up some salary cap space for the Chiefs to make some moves. Few of those moves are more critical than re-sign some of their own key free agents.
To get an idea of what the Chiefs need to do in terms of priorities in free agency, let’s do a mock draft ranking some of the players the Chiefs should target and why those players would mean so much to the Chiefs’ chances in 2015.
