The Chiefs’ cross-country assault on Pittsburgh already feels like the first week of the playoffs. It will be a battle of two of the better AFC teams in a matchup that could propel either forward or essentially end their season.
The Steelers are only favored by three points currently, which is the default home field advantage. In other words, Vegas thinks Pittsburgh and KC are evenly matched.
I tend to agree. QB Ben Roethlisberger has had some insane performances this year, but the Steelers haven’t looked balanced or even consistent all season. Still, Pittsburgh can punch their ticket to the playoffs with a win here at home, so for the Chiefs to take that away from them, it’s going to take some heroics.
