Week 15’s landslide victory proved two things: The Kansas City Chiefs are a weekly riddle, and the Oakland Raiders are still the Oakland Raiders.

For the first time in a long time, “pass protection” didn’t prove to be an oxymoron. As a result, Alex Smith shared the wealth with 10 different receivers, culminating in a 115.7 passer rating before the final whistle.

Defensively, no plot twists were to be found. The run defense was anything but, while the secondary (and linebacking corps) clocked in for another day at the office, forcing Derek Carr to misfire on half of his 56 passes and limiting him to four yards per attempt.

In large part, everything went as planned.

The following six takeaways left lasting impressions.
