The Bad: Run Defense

Ask how. Ask now. Ask Kerwynn Williams…?

On Sunday, the second-year rusher tallied 100 yards on 19 carries. Before Sunday, he rushed for 0 on 0.

Williams, prior to Week 14, hadn’t registered a single rushing attempt in his career. He then faces Kansas City and looks like Nelly in The Longest Yard.

It’s comical.

After the first few weeks of 2014, Josh Mauga had a strong four- to five-game stretch. Since then, fans have been flooding Derrick Johnson with “Get well soon” tweets.

Mauga often finds himself committing to poor angles and/or over-pursuing, leaving the door open for cutbacks.

James-Michael Johnson hadn’t been helping the cause either, but now that Joe Mays has returned from injury, the former’s playing time will likely be confined to special teams again.
