Both the Bills and the Browns are in a really tough situation to end the season. Buffalo has games agains the Broncos, Patriots, Packers on tap, so if they lose to the teams we think they should lose to then they’ll be eliminated from playoff contention quite easily.

The Browns also have a tough task with Sunday’s game against the Colts being followed by games against the Bengals, Panthers, and Ravens. The Browns, in theory, should lose to the Colts, Bengals, and at the Ravens. Those three losses would give them eight on the season and would eliminate them from the playoffs.

What the Chiefs need is for these two teams to lose the games they are supposed to lose. Those losses will shrink the wild card competition down the the Chiefs, Dolphins, Chargers, and Ravens. A less murky wild card picture favors the Chiefs, especially if Kansas City can get wins over the Steelers and Chargers to end the season.

Who To Root For: Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts.
