Safety Risk
During the 2013 draft, I watched film of Travis Kelce. Afterward, I felt like I’d watched The Punisher.
Tape showed a versatile tight end who shed tackles like snakeskin and flashed deceptive straight-line speed.
However, to me, the then-rookie’s signature skill came in the form of blocking. And we’re not talking about sealing edges or protecting passers. Kelce treated the field like his personal Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots ring, dislodging helmets and pancaking doubters.
On Sunday, any doubt that Earl Thomas had was replaced with regret.
