Make no mistake, though, he’s not Jamaal Charles. Davis’ hands are inconsistent at best, and at this point in his career, his blocking is far from trustworthy.
However, give the man a glimmer of daylight, and someone’s surname will be sporting a grass stain before the whistle.
Approaching the midpoint of Kansas City’s schedule, Davis has already eclipsed his rookie rushing total by 159 yards, and his per-carry average has climbed to 4.1—thanks in large part to Week 3’s 132-yard outing at Miami.
