Cheer #3: Pass Rush
Kansas City had to get to Ryan Tannehill if they wanted any shot at beating the Dolphins and they were able to make that happen.
The Chiefs were able to record four sacks on Sunday, but their ability to hit and hurry the quarterback was just as valuable. Several times Tannehill was forced to rush his throw or was throwing the ball while being hit. Justin Houston at one point almost had Tannehill on his back before Tannehill was able to get the pass off to Lamar Miller.
Houston was absolutely everywhere and owned rookie Ja’Waun James. James had come into the game with a solid PFF grade but this game may have completely wiped out is positive grade all together. Houston owned him that badly on Sunday.
Branden Albert was on his heels against Tamba Hali, too. Hali had a sack on Sunday and drew a holding penalty against Albert in the first half.
