LIMITED IN PRACTICE
Eric Kush (shoulder)
After missing practice yesterday, Kush was back on the field today working with the team in a limited capacity. This is a positive step towards him possibly being available if the Chiefs decide they need him.
Kush is a fringe active player on game days but he may be the Chiefs best backup interior lineman. It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if he sees more time on the active roster given the Chiefs needs at guard. At this stage I trust him more than I would Jeff Linkenbach or Laurent Duvernay-Tardif.
The big worry of playing Kush would be the potential of an injury to him, which would leave the Chiefs without a true backup center to Rodney Hudson. Still, it may not matter if either Zach Fulton or Mike McGlynn cannot hold up at guard.
