TIGHT END

Anthony Fasano

Travis Kelce

Demetrius Harris

Cut: Richard Gordon

Their are a lot of elements to Harris’ game he needs to improve on but it would seem those would be best improved as a member of the 53-man roster. His athleticism and size are incredible assets and he showed an ability to get open over the middle of the field. Working on his hands would be a good idea but it should be noted he did not have a lot of catchable passes thrown his way. A little more patience with him and he could be a quality asset in the red zone.

Gordon, one would think, would still be available to the Chiefs if something went wrong and they needed to sign a free agent tight end. He doesn’t have the upside of Harris but he’s consistent and you know what you’re going to get from him. It would makes sense to risk losing him more than it would losing Harris.

Fasano and Kelce are going to completely revamp the way the passing game works this season. Kelce has showed his big play ability while Fasano proved is reliability and his health have returned. Those are two big weapons Alex Smith did not have at his disposal a season ago. Add in that they are both good blockers and the worries about the offensive line decrease a little bit.
