Defense Continue To Pressure

The Chiefs defense has come out swinging, attacking the line and bringing the heat on opposing offenses. What it appears that Bob Sutton is doing is getting back to what the defense had at the beginning of 2013.

The Chiefs defense managed to force the Panthers to go three and out for the first few drives of the game. Now some may say this was Cam Newton getting re-acclimated to the game, but that still does not take away the fact they were able to hold off a potent Panther offense.

What to look for in the Vikings game is for much of the same. I would like to see them continue to pressure the quarterback and try to take down the quarterback. Being Matt Cassel there might help fuel that fire or at least get the crowd into it. I also look for them to try to stop running back Adrian Peterson. He is no doubt a lethal running back and since it is the third game of the preseason hopefully we will get a good look at what this run defense can do against a strong runner.
