Chiefs Waive Linebacker Dezman Moses, Sign Linebacker Devan Walker
By Ben Nielsen
An elbow injury to Dezman Moses has led to his ouster and the signing of another linebacker, according to the team.
Moses, who was in something of an uphill battle trying to make the roster, will likely end up on the Chiefs’ IR if he clears waivers. At least this is the speculation at the moment. After playing his rookie season in Green Bay and recording four sacks, Moses was let go by the Packers and signed by the Chiefs last year. Moses recorded four tackles and no sacks for the Chiefs in limited action in 2013.
Walker was signed as an undrafted free agent and then waived/injured by the Chargers in August the same year after suffering a knee injury. At Southeaster Louisiana Walker recorded 15 sacks for his career.
The Chiefs are probably set at outside linebacker between Tamba Hali, Justin Houston, Dee Ford, Josh Martin, and Frank Zombo but there is always a chance the Chiefs carry an extra outside linebacker for special teams purposes.
